Jonathan Moreno is the 2018 recipient of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities lifetime achievement award. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, and author or co-author of numerous books, including Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven but Nobody Wants to Die: Bioethics and the Transformation of Health Care in America (2020). He has served as staff member or advisor on three presidential commissions, and has been called “the most interesting bioethicist of our time” by the American Journal of Bioethics.
