After a year hiatus, AfterWards returns for its first meeting. Attend this special meeting with Pakistani writer Bina Shah, author of the novels A Season for Martyrs and Before She Sleeps among others. She is the winner of numerous awards, including Pakistan’s Agahi Awards and France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 4th at 5:30pm in the Eudowood Room at Children’s Center.
AfterWards:
- uses literature and art to spark conversations among participants on their clinical practices
- operates on a drop-in basis
- is all-inclusive, with attendees including: nurses, physicians, students, trainees, and others, and also interested community members such as teachers, writers, and artists
- encourages reflection through writing
- meets in-person only at 5:30 pm on the East Baltimore Campus
