BP2 – Blood Pressure and Breathing Practice

BP2 is a 23-week, lifestyle medicine series designed to help participants develop skills to lower their stress and blood pressure. We encourage you to attend every session; however, it is not a requirement. BP2 is an opportunity to become a happier and healthier you.

Each session is 30 minutes and will take place Thursdays at noon. An optional 15-minute Q&A will be held after each session.

Be sure to arrive on time or early because the Zoom room will lock at 12:02 p.m. No one will be able to enter the room after 12:02 p.m. All participants will be muted upon entry. Please use the chat feature to share your thoughts or questions.

All participants will be encouraged to monitor their blood pressure. If you have a monitor, keep it near you at the beginning of every session. If you do not have a monitor and are an EHP member, review the instructions for securing one.

BP2 is incentivized through the Healthy at Hopkins rewards program. Each session will include a “Question of the Day,” and the correct answer will be the code word to earn points. The answer will be revealed during the session, so be sure to pay attention! Please review the following instructions on how and where to enter the word to earn points.

  • Navigate to “Card Priorities,” on the left side of the Healthy at Hopkins portal.
  • Scroll down to “Connect Through Well-Being.” o Click “Open” next to “BP2.”
  • Enter the correct answer as it appears on the slide deck and click “Submit.”
  • Once the response is processed, you will earn points for the session.
