Continuing Medical Education: Epilepsy Surgery Symposium
February 10 @ 8:30 am – 3:10 pm
The symposium is designed to address the different aspects of epilepsy surgery in both adults and children and provide the most up-to-date information on multiple topics pertaining to surgery including:
- Components and structure of a comprehensive epilepsy surgery program
- Identification and work-up of patient’s with refractory epilepsy who are amenable to surgery
- Invasive EEG
- Established and new surgical modalities including neuro stimulation
- Outcomes of surgery
- Epilepsy surgery research conducted at Johns Hopkins.
This course will aid in education, advocating for and supporting the role of epilepsy surgery and management of refractory epilepsy. Professionals who are involved in caring for patients with epilepsy including epileptologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, physicians and advanced care providers will find this course beneficial and pertinent.
