Music for a While brings the healing power of music to the hospital environment. The Peabody Institute and Johns Hopkins Medicine together have created site-specific programs in high-stress contexts, providing arts experiences to help reduce anxiety, alleviate pain, promote wellness, and improve patient and staff experiences.
Enjoy music on Thursday December 5th between 2:00 and 4:30pm in the Zayed Arcade.
- 2 – 3:30pm: Guest Ian Babler-Madrid playing the violin. Ian Babler-Madrid is a JHU student and will be hosted by Boyoung Park providing vocals.
- 2:30 – 3pm: Guest Jamie Shegogue playing the guitar and providing vocals. Jamie Shegogue is a Pediatric Music Therapist and will be hosted by Bailey Liu playing the saxophone.
- 3 – 3:30pm: Guest Liz Prince playing the tuba. Liz Prince is a physician and will be hosted by Sebastian Zamarripa playing the trombone.
- 3:30 – 4pm: Guest Linda Tang playing the guitar. Linda Tang is a SOM student and will be hosted by Bailey Liu playing the saxophone.
- 4 – 4:30pm: Guest Pat Akarapipad playing the violin. Pat Akarapipad is a SOM student and will be hosted by Lindsey Choung playing the cello.
